Strathallan school: PERTH, SCOTLAND
The summer school takes place on the impressive 150-acre campus of Strathallan, near Perth. The setting is superb with wonderful views across the Ochil Hills and Earn Valley from most parts of the campus. The nucleus of the school evolves around the original 19th Century country house and surrounding this are modern boarding houses, a newly refurbished, centrally heated, modern refectory and extensive sports and leisure facilities. The city of Perth is 7 miles away and is accessible by public transport from the small village of Forgandenny where the school lies, surrounded by magnificent scenery of the Scottish highlands. 
The modern halls of residence can accommodate up to 300 students in shared (2 students) study bedrooms, each with wash hand basin, and each hall has a large, comfortable and well equipped common room in which students can relax. Recreational facilities on campus are extensive and include an indoor swimming pool, 2 sports halls, several tennis courts and astro-turf pitches, a large theatre and disco area. Students also have free internet access on campus.
The School is superbly located with the cities of Perth, Edinburgh, Stirling and Glasgow within easy reach and also affording easy access to the stunning Scottish Highlands. Edinburgh International airport can be reached by coach in 45 minutes and Glasgow Airport in 1 hour.
English in Action offers a full program, inclusive of accommodation, ESL classes and a full afternoon and evening sports and leisure program. The monitors are young, friendly people who interact with the students, encouraging them to make friends with their international companions and use English as the language of communication.
